Post Crystal Skeletons! (Casted Parts ~ Possible Spoilers)

Possible Spoilers:

After watching Indy IV, I couldn't live with white skeletons. So I'm working on casting some crystal skeletons. This is very preliminary. I'm refining the mold now ~ I'll keep you posted when I get them more exact.

Mold:

Feedback and suggestions are apprecaited! =-)

I just saw your thread on EB, but I wanted to wait off til I got here to post. Beautiful work on the cast. Can't wait to see the finalized version.

have you had much problems with pivots and joints? i see you have used a single-part mould, so im guessing yes  single-part casts are annoying that way. still, i realy, realy, realy want to see the final results of this.

Yeah. that's really nice for preliminary casting, and I saw some flaws on left hip of skeletons, Maybe you could try to make a way out for the air bubbles, make vents as like on my molds,
http://www.maj.com/gallery/arealight/My ... mold_1.jpg

See the little holes, those all made according as flaws of initial molds. And those vents made by following plastic sticks,

I glued it with prototype to make air way out. that's my experience and hope helpful to you.

A great idea and some nice casting there. :)

Arealight's tips and hints will make the next molding and casting project even better.

Are you developing plans to sell these, good sir? If mine ears doth ring true and thou art indeed pursuing avenues of commerce, I would truly buy upwards of one or two bushels, yea verily didst I spake.

You may find that casting with clear resin traps more air bubbles, different viscosity of the resin I think. You may need to make a air vacuum chamber to remove bubbles. Good luck

Maybe you should make a mold for the skull so it would look the same!
