 Voting - FC Haunted Halloween Custom Minifig Contest by Kaminoan on Mon Nov 03, 2008 10:36 amDue to the extreme turn out for this contest we are having to modify the voting a bit. We are going to follow past examples for when this has happened, specifically the Historical Figure Contest. So the voting will proceed as follows:
The forums will pick the top 25 using a weighted system to pic said top 25.

Every forum member gets 5 picks. They will be wieghted on a similar scale to your grades from school, so pay attention.

If I can't tell how you have ranked your choices then I will rank them based on order. You only get one post, so think about it before posting. Yes you can vote for your own. You can put 5 of your own submissions up there if you want. That is why I am doing a weighted system to try and help cut through the ties. The 25 figures with the heighest point totals will go to the final judging outlined by rule 8 of the contest rules. The haunted figures will be judged by forum poll, counting for 75% of their score. The other 25% of the score will come from a panel of non-Lego people, of the FC selection. You have 1 WEEK to submit your top 5 choices. Please be honest and select the figures you truly believe are the best.

I would like to point out to everyone, there is a reason we have a size limit on photo's and take it seriously in contests. Please learn to resize your images BEFORE posting. And please DON"T stretch your images to fill in a 400x400 image, use crop or resize and keep it so that it doesn't ruin the image (there are a number of entries like that) Overall, great contest entries!!! There were 156 entries (that weren't links or that had images that were unviewable) and then 5 of those that were disqualified. Morgan19 took the record though, with 52 different entries... ... ... wow.. We'll announce voting information over the next few days, with this many entries, the original method we were going to use is kind of out the window... lol... so we'll have a new method announced soon. Thanks to everyone for making this such a great and fun contest!!! |

Everyone voting for their own doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense, as they will all be cancelled out by the others who vote for themselves, right?
