What kind of contests? And this is really great that you are getting the Austin branch back up and running.
This signature is not as epic as it could be.

awww, i am broken hearted!
i'll be out of town that weekend.
:(

i'll try to get my son's mom to take him.
i know he was looking forward to it too.

anyone want to meet up with me beforehand?
i can pass along the lego shirts i've already printed.
i think i have around 10 or 12 of them.
y'all can either just hand them out to the early arrivals,
or add them to the prize pile.

be sure to take lots of pictures!

Any MOC voting by attendees of the meeting, may have age brackets.
Bring a MOC what do you have to lose?

Sorry about that! Come to SXSW instead!
If you can swing by Anna's I am sure she can hold the T-shirts until the meeting.

good idea kurt.
i will drop a stack of shirts by anna's before i leave town.

right now, i just adult sizes - a variety from smalls up through XLs.
if i could get an idea of how many kids / what size kids,
i could print a few of the kids sizes too.

I was kid watching that weekend, but I'll do my best.

Sadly my only MOC is half done so I won't be bringing it. (No one wants to see WIPs, it's like listening to people talk about the dreams they had last night.) ;)

You'd be surprised, but only if you're soliciting input.

Actually, I'd love some. I haven't built on it in weeks because I'm stuck as to how to proceed. I might just do that.

Thanks!

i dropped the shirts off with Anna this afternoon.
she said she'd like to use them as prizes,
but there are quite a few (12?) -
so i hope everyone who wants one gets one.
if you don't end of getting one,
please just let me know if you want one.

she seemed excited to have everyone in,
and is hoping there will be kids coming in addition to the AFOLs.
so, if you were wondering whether or not to bring the young 'uns... do it.

and please take a lot of pics.
i want to see what i missed.

For what it's worth, when Tim and I went to the elementary school, I printed up some half-page flyers and handed them out to all the kids. Hopefully, some of them will come out.

I am new to this group and have joined on behalf of my 5 yrold son. He's been coming to Anna's since I discovered it a few months after we moved here last year. Awesome!
We are planning on coming to this event and the kiddo will be bringing a model of his own creation (well actually have to send my husband along with him - I have to work). I have an idea that this is what MOC stands for - but can someone confirm for me what it means?
J is REALLY looking forward to coming to this since Anna told us about it a month ago. I hope y'all will welcome him!

MOC is an abbreviation of "My Own Creation"

JDR - I'm bringing my five year old too! He doesn't have a MOC of his own, but he loves playing with my bricks. I just end up taking them apart and resorting. :)

His 8 year old sister will also be coming. She likes building houses and buildings. He likes building space ships and planes. I keep buying him City sets but he'd rather build what his daddy builds.
